Life’s been busy the past few months, and the time to enjoy life has suffered a little. Luckily things are falling into place nicely and I can start to enjoy the world around me again. About Yesterday Adventure:

We found these two sailboats ⛵️ that were blown ashore on a beach at #bluffpointstatepark and Coastal Reserve during a storm last October remain abandoned months later.

The vessels, named Waypoint and Motivation.. What beautiful names specifically if you need some #mondaymotivation 😍

This park offers so much for someone who is a little active... trails/paths for running, walking, hiking, dog walking, and biking. There are several miles of trails through the woods. This park is on a peninsula so some of the paths skirt the water making it a very pretty area. There is also a couple places to launch kayaks, canoes, paddle-boards and of course The Beach!!

Bluff Point State Park is the perfect place for a nice long walk with beautiful scenery and easy access.

Today, We walked full loop which is around 4 mile from and to Picnic area.

Bluff Point State Park is the last remaining significant piece of undeveloped land along the Connecticut coastline. It’s about a 2 mile walk to get to the beach but it’s definitely worth the trip.

Dogs on a leash are allowed on the trail. No dogs on beach from April to August because of nesting birds. And as it’s September, I enjoyed on beach today 😉

Avery Point Light at sunrise this morning. There is nothing like being out so early with the soft morning light. Terns, gulls and cormorants are all busy feeding and American Oystercatchers are making their beautiful noise. The Virginia-class attack submarine Hyman G. Rickover (SSN 795) is rolled out to the graving dock on the waterfront at General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton Friday, July 23, 2021. I am 7 months pregnant, baby and mom are healthy, active, and happy as can be.

There are many other women out there who don’t get to say the same with high risk pregnancies and complications.

So, rather than complaining about how much harder it is to workout/walk/eat right these days…

It’s officially been a decade of living in New England! I moved to Groton, CT this month 10 years ago not expecting it to be permanent. I thought we would eventually go back to Rochester, NY where I had been/near my hometown. Only to fall in love with New England and now I’m never leaving! ⚓️💙🌊🌾⛵️ ...

Intense colors and dramatic displays of the sky again and again - just seems to be my wavelength, the heart of my “brand.” The abstract sense for what the sky has in mind reinforced through repetition, the willingness to show up even when the odds are ambiguous, the desire to experience the energy of these moments are causal factors. I definitely don’t see myself as a one-dimensional photographer, but so far I’ve been able to stand out and execute best with sunrise and sunset photography.

The 4:30am weekend wake-ups were worth it last summer. This shot was taken in early August on a morning that felt like the fall with a light, cool breeze and moody conditions.

Summer Solstice Sunset 2020 - last summer felt like a golden age, honeymoon phase with photography for me here. The collective appreciation of beauty and celebration of each other’s art got me hooked on this community. I was starting to feel connected with others here in ways I never foresaw. Powerful sunrises and sunsets like this just kept on coming and I couldn’t get enough. I’ve had to slow down lately and it’ll be hard to keep up with last summer, but I’m so grateful for these incredible moments I witnessed and that I connected with you all.
