Learn to spot native species\, identify plants\, and see what you find along the way. \nThis free public program requires no registration\, and will meet in the Norman Bird Sanctuary parking lot ten minutes prior to the walk. In the event of inclement weather\, an announcement that day will be made on our website determining whether the walk will continue or not.

Their backyard nursery specializes in deer resistant evergreens\, primarily western red cedar\, commonly known as arborvitae\, cryptomeria (Japanese cypress) and also hydrangea\, all grown from cuttings they have taken from their own or friends’ trees. After 8 years of growing\, 2020 was their first year of sales. Howland is a 45+ veteran of the nursery industry\, having owned several successful wholesale/retail nurseries and a landscape design/build business. Before retirement Linda ran the award-winning URI Watershed Watch citizen science program for 30+ years.

DESCRIPTION:OUTDOOR CLASSICAL CONCERT FEATURES YOUR FAVORITE BRASS QUINTET\n\nYour Favorite Brass Quintet\, the in-residence quintet at Salve Regina University\, will grace the Linden Place gardens on Sunday\, April 18th at 2 PM. This afternoon of springtime-inspired music will have you celebrating all things spring. Your Favorite Brass Quintet has been a part of the Rhode Island music scene since 2001\, performing throughout RI and New England in public concerts\, religious and public ceremonies. In 2007\, Your Favorite Brass Quintet became the Brass Quintet in Residence at Salve Regina University. The quintet members enjoy playing a diverse repertoire\, from baroque\, classical and more modern pieces for the brass quintet\, to jazz standards\, popular pieces and movie music. Mask wearing and social distancing are required to make this event safe and fun for all! In the case of rain\, the concert will take place in the tented courtyard at Linden Place. Tickets are $20 for non-members\, $15 for Linden Place members and free for Colt Circle members. Reservations are required as space is very limited. Guests only need to wear a mask when they are not at their table. \n  \n– Parking – Free and available in the main lot\, small lot between the Comedy Connection and Black Duck Tavern\, on street and in the LDC lot behind the Black Duck. \n  \n  \n  \n– As a courtesy to other guests\, we ask that there is no talking or heckling during the show. \nDAN MINTZ BioDan Mintz is known to many as the voice of Tina Belcher on “Bob’s Burgers.” Originally from Anchorage\, Alaska\, Mintz is a writer\, performer\, and producer. He started as a stand-up in Boston and went on to perform on shows such as “Late Show with David Letterman\,” “Jimmy Kimmel Live\,” “Late Night with Conan O’Brien\,” “Late Night with Seth Meyers” and “Comedy Central Presents: Dan Mintz.” His stand-up album\, “The Stranger\,” was identified as one of the year’s best by New York Magazine’s Vulture.com. Mintz has guest starred on “Silicon Valley\,” “The Goldbergs\,” and “Speechless\,” while writing for such shows as “Nathan for You\,” “Human Giant\,” and the Emmy Award-winning series “Veep.” Additionally\, Mintz served as executive producer on “The Awesomes” and in 2017 earned a WGA Award nomination for his script\, “A Taste of Zephyria” on “Son of Zorn.”
