The Helen III is the 6th vessel to be owned within the Glas family. Those of you familiar with the Glas family know they started in Montauk in the 1940’s. The first vessel owned was a converted 38′ wooden yatch named the Frances Ann. After that came the Helen, a 47′ wooden ex-rum runner. The Helen II was next followed by the Hel-Cat (famous catamaran) and the current Hel-Cat II. With the addition of the Helen III, the tradition continues.
